Sampler From The I Ching

Small pop masterpieces contained within! Sampler From The I Ching presents nine songs
(out of 30 already released) that comprise a portion of Cotton Mather's ambitious effort to write 64 tracks, each representing a hexagram of the I Ching, "an extraordinary book about ordinary life," according to band leader Robert Harrison.

Cotton Mather's landmark 1997 album Kontiki had Noel Gallagher of Oasis calling it "the best record I’ve heard in ten years," and Britt Daniel of Spoon claiming it "gave him something to shoot for." Presently, Cotton Mather's recent SXSW 2017 performance moved David Fricke of Rolling Stone to describe the band as “hot, shiny Raspberries fortified with the elevated argument of Squeeze and Attractions-era Elvis Costello." Harrison and company have and continue to write unforgettable songs.
