In 2017, Boston-based indie faves Buffalo Tom, having wrapped an acclaimed run of sold-
out U.S. and U.K. shows marking the 25th anniversary of their alt-rock masterpiece Let Me Come Over, headed into producer David Minehan’s (Neighborhoods, Paul Westerberg, the Replacements) Wooly Mammoth Studios in Waltham, MA. The sonic fruit of that collaboration is Quiet and Peace released on Scrawny/Schoolkids Records to critical and fan acclaim on March 2nd of this year.
Five from Quiet and Peace is a collection of 5 songs from this record. This collection finds the trio—singer-guitarist Bill Janovitz, bassist-vocalist Chris Colbourn, and drummer Tom Maginnis—simultaneously mining their best-known sonic elements while breaking new ground on emotionally resonant new tunes “All Be Gone,” “Overtime,” “Roman Cars,” “Freckles,” and “In The Ice.”
